Terms and Conditions
The following are terms and conditions for the sale of goods governing any contract for sale that we enter into with you. You might have other rights granted by law and these terms and conditions do not affect those.
To purchase from us you must be over 18 and resident in the United Kingdom. At present we ship within the UK Mainland and, by special order, overseas, including UK affiliated islands. The contract is made when we confirm the acceptance of your order. The goods remain the property of Plant City until we have received payment in full.
VAT will be charged, where applicable, at current rate, at present 17.5%.

First place your order by telephoning the hotline number on 01670 517969 with our customer services representative.
On completion of your order you will be given a unique reference number, please write this on the back of your cheque.

Please make your cheques payable to Plant City and write your reference number on the reverse of the cheque.
Once your cheque has cleared your goods will be dispatched within 48 hours. A member of customer services will contact you to confirm delivery.

Paying by credit and debit cards
First place your order by telephoning the hotline number on 01670 517969 with our customer services representative.
We are an authorized Streamline agent able to accept credit/debit card payments over the telephone. On completion of your order you will be given a unique reference number, please keep this number for any queries, and you will be given an immediate delivery date for you to receive your goods, subject to availability.
Delivery costs
All trees are delivered by a national carrier direct to your door and arrive complete, ready for you to spruce up. Plant City does not charge you a price per tree, we take into account the value of the whole order and the tariffs vary by the value of your order.

PLEASE NOTE: All delivery costs stated above and on the online order facility are the costs for deliveries to the UK mainland only. For all overseas deliveries including UK affiliated islands please contact us for an exact costing of your requirements.
Returns Policy
RETURNS
Note that all items are inspected prior to leaving the warehouse. Please inspect your order upon receipt. If any item(s) have been damaged in shipping please contact us within two business days to report the damage so that we may promptly file a claim with our national carrier company. Please keep all boxes and packaging material along with the damaged item since they may wish to pick up the package for inspection.
Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the item(s) ordered, please call us on 01670 517 969 or email enquiries@plantcity.co.uk and explain the reason for return. Requests for returns must be made within 7 days of receipt of shipment.
If possible, re-pack the item securely in the original packaging material; do not allow items to move freely in the box. Be sure to use adequate cushioning, refunds will not issued for items damaged in return shipping. All returns must be reported before re-shipping commences.
It is the responsibility for the customer to safely return the goods to our returns department, the address is listed on the Contact us page The cost for all returns is also the responsibility of the customer and not Plant City.
Where the products are damaged the goods will be re-collected free of charge by our national carrier company and will be thoroughly inspected on return.
Upon inspection of the returned, a refund will be issued for the purchase price of the item(s); shipping charges are non-refundable.
Item(s) must be received in original condition; items returned in used, altered or damaged condition will not receive refunds.
Ship the returns using insured, traceable mail, such as Royal Mail, TNT etc. Properly insure the items being returned as Plant City will not issue refunds for damaged items; a damage/loss claim will need to be filed with the shipping company. Shipping/insurance costs for returns are the customer's responsibility.
Returns that arrive C.O.D cannot be accepted. Returns must be received by us within 7 days of informing Plant City of the problem.
We try our best to accurately display the colors of the products shown on our website. However, depending on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color will be accurate.
Due to packaging constraints your item(s) may need shaping. Gently twist or bend the stems to achieve a natural look. Average size noted on the item description is determined by how it is shaped. We measure the height from the bottom of the container to the top of the foliage, and the width of the foliage at the widest point. If you have any questions, please email enquiries@plantcity.co.uk
Please note that our products are not intended for outdoor use, unless stated in the item description. Do not place product near a heat source or open flame. We will not be held responsible for misuse of products.
No unauthorized returns will be accepted; refunds will not be issued for items returned without fully informing us of your situation.
Please contact us prior to returning any items. Special order items, clearance items and items purchased through eBay auctions and other companies cannot be returned.
DELIVERY
Orders generally ship within 24-48 hours in business days for in stock items. Note that your billing address must match the address that your credit card issuer has on file for you; incorrect information will delay the processing and shipping of your order. You will be notified by email if there is a problem with your order information.
Most trees are delivered with a black plastic pot (so that the tree can stand.) in a cardboard nox. The pot is not intended for display. However, you may ask us to pot the tree for you in a planter chosen from out wide range of containers.There is a nominal charge of £6 (plus VAT) for that service. Items from the flat pack range do not come in a small plastic pot.
Please note that if you request that we pot a tree in a planter chosen by you that then becomes a bespoke item and as such can not be returned.
Applicable Law
Plant City is a business based in England. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England.
